Kit gone after restart. How save kits?
-
is that using the most recent update? 3.1.2?
-
Does anyone know why in the data folder there is a Kits.json being created? Should that be deleted or made to match the Kits.json in the config folder? Thanks.
-
well no matter what I cannot get my old kits to work I have tried old Kits.cs 3.1.0 and this new kits.cs 3.1.2 that was just updated but it rejects my kits.json I guess I will just have to start over again
oh well -
I gave up on my old kits files. I started over and tried to create new kits...no matter what I try I cannot get the items list to populate. Here is the result of the kits.json file.
Not sure if this plug in is actually working.Code:{ "Kits": { "starter": { "name": "Starter", "description": null, "max": 0, "cooldown": 0.0, "authlevel": 0, "hide": false, "npconly": false, "permission": null, "image": null, "items": [] } } } -
i still get this after creating a kit and reloading. i edited again to use chat instead of npc id.Code:
[Oxide] 6:35 PM [Debug] ExType: JsonSerializationException [Oxide] 6:35 PM [Error] Failed to initialize plugin 'Kits v3.1.2' (FormatException: Input string was not in the correct format) [Oxide] 6:35 PM [Debug] at System.UInt64.Parse (System.String s, NumberStyles style, IFormatProvider provider) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.UInt64.Parse (System.String s, IFormatProvider provider) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Convert.ToUInt64 (System.String value, IFormatProvider provider) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.String.System.IConvertible.ToUInt64 (IFormatProvider provider) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Convert.ToType (System.Object value, System.Type conversionType, IFormatProvider provider, Boolean try_target_to_type) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Convert.ChangeType (System.Object value, System.Type conversionType, IFormatProvider provider) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonSerializerInternalReader.EnsureType (Newtonsoft.Json.JsonReader reader, System.Object value, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture, Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonContract contract, System.Type targetType) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

yeap last update
-
Ya kits still not saving after a reload or server restart after the latest update
-
2 late
i have like 100 kits same problem
. But thx @Reneb ur awsome for fix -
maybe use plugin for automatically enter chat command after restart? What plugin name?
-
Can any one tell me why normal players cant use the kits even tho the authlevel is 0?
-
if you want to load your bugged Kits.json the second "Kits": {} has to be removed while the plugin is unloaded...i can change one as example if someone wants to upload it here...
-
ok so 3.1.2 fixed everything all issues resolved I deleted files from \oxide\data kits.json, and kits_data.json also deleted config file from \oxide\config. Then I put my backup kits.json back in \oxide\data folder, then I did command "oxide.reload Kits" from console my kits are still there from old kits I made
thank you sooo much to
the devs
you guys are awesome -
I tried to add a kit again tonight after rust patch. Still isn't working me. Same result above...no item list. Anyone else having this issue?
-
thx Reneb !
[DOUBLEPOST=1445391302][/DOUBLEPOST]Check out the Kits.JSON in the Data file , maybe you'll see
{
"Kits": {
"Kits": {
----------------------
Remove one set of "Kits":{} out from your savedata -
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have duplicate kits. Still have the same problem.
-
i only get the error when trying to ad the kits to GUI. i mean when altering the data file to chat instead of an npc id
-
Try 0 instead of chat.
