Ranks And Titles [Unmaintained]

After update instead of my custom ranks and titles only "small timer" or "civillian" ets. shows up. Other strings (localised, ru) are ok. Config are the same as in previous version with all custom ranks saved.
If i change the "civillian" in data file for my nickname and reload plugin - nothing happens - rank is still "civillian" and not the one that i edited.

ps. Notifier and Deathnotes are still outdated (previous versions), 'coz tooo much to change in cfg for them...

 

on the players who have the "Civilian" title type /rt remove playername this will re process them through the ranks function with an empty title instead of a set title (It's probably set in data which is why it wouldn't change). It's possible these titles slipped through the cracks on player login. And once the player has a title if it does not match any of the current titles it is considered a "custom set" title by the plugin and it will not touch it.

so once again use /rt remove playername on the players with the civilian names. Or (If this is a recently new install for your server) you can make sure your config is setup how you want it and do a /rt clear to wipe the entire data file and have everyone start from scratch again However this will DELETE all current data for ranks. everyones kills, deaths, kdrs, etc.. will be reset back to 0, and data will need to be rebuilt as players play the game. (It should handle this automatically)

I am building a self defense check so that if a player attacks someone, the defender if they are victorious will not lose or gain karma. Be remain where they are.

will you start using the new oxide permission system ? just asking because i liked very much, its pretty amazing

 

Considering that my Ranking system is completely different from the permission system I am unsure I want to jump right into it right now.
When it's fully up and running It may be something I decide to switch too in time, since my system is chat based this shouldn't affect much of what my plugin does.

 

just a question, should i restart the server to load the plugin for the first time ?

 

What now? You can do oxide.reload RanksAndTitles in the console to reboot the plugin.

its because my server has been freezing the hole day so i had to restart many times and my players got frustrated so i don't want to reboot it again because its stable now

 

No just plop it into your plugins folder, it will handle the rest.

 

I'm changing the tags of the ranks for my players but nothing is happening.

like default tag is "Civilian" and changing it to "Civil" but nothing happens, even if i restart the server, the tag stays "Civilian"

 

Thats because the plugin is treating it as a custom titled rank, and ignores it. You need to either do /rt reset or /rt remove playername the first option will wipe the entire RanksAndTitles data file. the second you have to do one by one.

 

but the data file is brand new, i just restart the server!

 

Doesn't matter data does not get reset on a server reboot. It is saved and used.

 

just did a /rt reset and stil nothing, still showing civilian.
