1. if you have oxide and plugins then its on the mod tab you do need to open your ports in your router and windows firewall and if any antivirus most have built in firewalls and windows 10 is the worse for running a server on as that version is very security based

  2. Yeah, I've been checking the modded tab as well as the community tab, just in case. It doesn't show up in either. I've got 28015 open on my router as well as my Windows Defender firewall with both TCP and UDP protocols. No anti-virus installed.

  3. Then its closed
What ip did you use in the firewall and router

  4. The port forwarding rule in the router is set to use the following settings:

WAN Interface: ADSL_DEFAULT (not sure which WAN interface I should be using)
WAN IP: (external IP address )
    Start Port: 28015
    End Port: 28015
    Translation Start Port: 28015
    Translation End Port: 28015
Server IP Address: (host machine's local IPv4 address)
    Protocol: TCP/UDP

The IP in the firewall is set to allow an IP through. I've also tried it by specifying the host machine's IP but it still didn't work. So basically both are set to use the host machine's IPv4 address on the local network.

  5. There doesn't seem to be a listing for the host machine and the port 28015. That would mean that it's not being used, correct? Could I try using a different port other than the default 28015? If I did I guess I would have to create a new firewall rule for both TCP/UDP and do all of that again lol.

  6. IT SEES IT! Now what???
    [DOUBLEPOST=1530903825][/DOUBLEPOST]
I'm able to see my server on that tool you linked me to. Now how do we proceed? It just doesn't appear on the Steam server list. Does that mean it's a steamCMD issue or something?

  7. Let it run for a while say 1 hour then check it in your client

  8. Okay, will do. Thanks for the help you guys, I feel like it's almost there, just one piece missing!

  9. If it sees it check if Rust didnt blacklist your server IP: https://api.facepunch.com/api/public/manifest/?public_key=j0VF6sNnzn9rwt9qTZtI02zTYK8PRdN1

Open that link > press CTRL + F > search for your IP. If it isn't blocked then I don't really have an idea. Sometimes when you host the server from the same PC you are playing on it will fail to show on the list. Give a friend the IP and port and ask them if they can connect.

  10. I'm using two different machines: one to host and one to play on. What's weird is that I've used this same configuration three times before with no issues. I haven't checked the list for me IP yet as I'm on my phone, but I will check when I get home. Would posting screenshots of my firewall configuration and details help?

  11. Nope, not on the blacklist.

  12. Issue was solved by creating two outbound rules, one TCP and the other UDP, and assigning them both to the rustdedicated.exe file and allowing insecure connections. By changing this, people were able to connect through the internet.
