  1. If you want to get rid of them for sure :p, then edit the ranks manually inside the plugin and simply rename them.

    P.S - Are you trying to remove them instead of renaming them inside the configs?

  2. maximary .. u can relod ,reboot,kiss,kick your computer it ll be the same :D edit PlayerRankings.CS with notepad++
    inside two line :
    Code:
      SetConfig("Regular", "Oxide Group", "Regular"); <--- Name displayed / group
      SetConfig("Regular", "Playtime", 1D); <-- hour played  SetConfig("Pro", "Oxide Group", "Pro");
      SetConfig("Pro", "Playtime", 25D);
    Replace for exemple by:

    Code:
      SetConfig("Playing1hour", "Oxide Group", "one");
      SetConfig("Playing1hour", "Playtime", 1D);  SetConfig("Now25hours", "Oxide Group", "twintyfive");
      SetConfig("Now25Hours", "Playtime", 25D);Setconfig'"...... etc.
    delete your odl PlayerRankings.JSON then reload plugin ..

  3. Thank you. I did exactly as you said. (If it was stated before, I apologize for missing it.)
    No more regular or pro, all my ranks are there. Worked perfect. Thanks again.

    Off Topic- I've been trying to learn Python language on CodeAcademy. Do you know a good free resource for learning C#?

    -edit-
    I am getting this in my logs, but I added my groups in the .cs and the groups are made in oxide.
    It's not a big deal for me, I don't have special permissions set at this time. Log.PNG cs file.PNG

    _also,_
    cs file.PNG Log.PNG

    -Edit Number 2-

    So the ranks work but uhh.... im at 11 something hours and its not giving me the 10 hour rank...

    -edit number 3-
    Haven't changed anything, performed oxide.reload *
    Plugin is completely broken now.... -_- ...

  4. I'm completely lost here, I've fiddled around with this for around an hour now, finally managed to get it to actually rank you up, but now it doesn't remove the previous rank. how do I get it to remove the default rank after it ranks you up? The default rank is called [New Player] and the rank you get after 2 hours of game time is [Newman]

  5. That is a setting in your Data/BetterChat.json

    I think you have to set your title's priority levels and toggle if it displays when its not the primary. Capture.PNG

  6. so I just change the true to false?

    I just tried that still no progress

  7. You would set the false to true... at least that's how I assume it is supposed to work, but I'm having trouble of my own so maybe I'm not the best to be giving advice.

  8. Feels like this is very buggy and unfinished plugin.On top of that, it would be much better if it would rank you up based on kills and not playtime.

  9. Your config is broken as you are missing the "Oxide Group" in the middle of the SetConfig() paramaters and thus is the reason you are getting the error.
    Newman is a rank controlled by PlayerRankings based on the configuration, but the default rank "New Player" is not, therefore it is not touched by PlayerRankings. My advice is to remove the default tag through BetterChat and modify anything else you want through it by lowering priority and such, etc so that it does not have an effect on your main rankings.
    If you could tell me why you think it is buggy and unfinished I would be glad to help, but simply stating your opinion based on frustration without anything to back up is not going to get us anywhere. Additionally, it is doable to make a rankings plugin based on kills and not playtime. Other plugins have done it and it would not be difficult to track data and use that variable instead of time.

  10. I am absolutely not frustrated.I never gave it a try.Instead, I see people having to do a lot of fixing in your .cs which means you did not finish your plugin before releasing it.Do not take it as offense, step up and do the work they did.

  11. You never gave it a try yet decided to call it a bad plugin anyway because of people posting for support on the support thread? Logical thinking there bud. P.S - the problem are the two rankings which are specifically defaulted and will be fixed soon when I have the chance to do so.

  12. I am not basing my opinion on somebody's requests for support, that is what plugin threads are for.I am simply basing it on the fact that people have been fixing your mistakes for quite a long time and now you are trying to tell me that I have nothing to base my opinion on? You have just admitted to having that error around.Common sense...

  13. People have not been fixing that mistake, they have been modifying it because they do not want those rankings' names I provided. The functionality is dynamic and working, the name saving was the issue. This is not an error, I made Pro and Regular to be defaulted since they are common in terms of the terminology based inside a PvP survival game, and I added the option for more ranks to be added by copy/pasting the values and renaming them. If you actually took the time to read the comments and understand the context, you would not be trying to slander an author who actually took the time to make this plugin and help people with some of the difficulties instead of giving no reply and forcing you to use it as he wanted.

  14. Did you not count that people would want to edit your default names and (especially) add more? And they have clearly ran into a number of issues.I did read the comments.Learn to take some criticism kid and don't invest your feelings into everything you make.

  15. Only a kid would argue with a developer who took the time to actually make a plugin that people wanted and release and update it to the public. If you want to criticize me for not updating for having been busy with studying in college, then so be it. This is not an argument based off my emotions, rather yours since you haven't even tried the plugin yet you decided to post a discouraging statement anyway because of how you felt about the situation. I'll put it simply once more for you to understand: re-read and analyze all of the comments and figure out the main issue (the config saving) which could be edited and fixed by the people themselves through renaming and which the author (me) has stated he will fix once he has the time.

  16. It would have been much more productive of you to actually address issues that people have raised instead of writing lengthy useless posts.You have posted more tonight than for the past few months.You are not the only one who contributes to the community.Learn to take criticisms.

  17. You can be so easily refuted as you literally critique yourself. I wonder why I haven't posted that much in the past few months? College (said it 1 post ago, you need to read). As egotistic as it sounds, developers or anyone else do not have the responsibility of addressing issues, or updating their plugins. Maybe you should look back at that announcement of "abandoned" plugins. You'll see my name in there as the person who either replaced or rebuilt some of the plugins and supported them a few months back during the summer when I had more time on my hands. Be patient as arguing with me more just diverts more of my attention to defending myself against a toxic member of the community rather than finishing up this exam soon and getting started on the fixing process. You are not contributing to the community neither are you willing to accept that you are wrong.

  18. I already passed an idea to another developer of re-making this with what I posted above as my own suggestion.Keep raging.

    Oh, and while we on subject, "toxic member" has made tons of posts to people who maintain servers with their daily struggles, while you only show up to put up a display of your butt hurt feelings.Busy with college? I don't think so.

  19. It seems like you're mad because I am not taking your suggestion and opinion into account :p. You need to understand that some of us have a lot going on in life and do not necessarily have the time to help people in the forums, but I make it a priority to check on discussions that concern my plugins. You have no idea how many server owners I've helped and many even teamviewed to fix their problems with portforwading, plugins, and much more. Again, you have no shred of clue about anything I have done to the community yet you wish to reply with useless comments that attempt to attack my emotions to stir me up and discredit me. You are toxic m8.

  20. Thank you for your support Ankawi. I do really appreciate the time you are able to take. I will go back through and attempt everything once more being very carefull. I understand the complexity of balancing life in college as I myself have been to college before, and am doing so again. I think there has been enough toxicity here, so I'll save the story I have about the toxic people out there and -smh-

    I've gotten quirked before by a plugin update that maybe caused a lot of problems, but I've never tried to be directly insulting, demeaning, or insinuated that someone is lazy.
    I think a few things maybe everyone should learn is...

    how to critique someone constructively,

    to stop and think, before and after they've typed their thoughts,

    and to take some break time to decompress when you get to stressed, or to salty about something... :D

    -P.S.- I always try to pay the support forward.

    Are you running a clan plugin as well that adds a clan title?
