Could you show me screenshots of the main directory, the "server" folder, the inside of the folder inside the "server" folder, and your "cfg" folder?

  2. I would. but I deleted everything because we were talking in circles... so i thought id to try and start anew. now. nothing will download or update. grand. wont let me log into steam in steamcmd now either. I guess i'm gonna give up. I've been doing this since 10am and its 3:30. forget it.

Make sure you are using the server's appid (258550), not the client's appid. Could you also show me a picture of your "server" folder and the folder that is named the same as your hostname?

  4. there is no longer one. also. now rust itself will not load anymore. "rust launch error loadingerror - easyanticheat"

And the screenshot of the "server" directory please? The EAC error is a common bug with the game, which most will tell you a restart will fix it.

  6. deleted again. having a real hard time keeping my cool. i cannot believe i've wasted my entire day over this.

there. its basically. the same. not much difference there. I've logged into the server and attempted the commands again. nothing. the cfg folder is empty.

Did you change your startup script at all? The users.cfg should be there, but under which identity is the issue.

  8. This was the last one I used before I created the users.cfg file manually.
    Code:
    @echo off
    RustDedicated.exe -batchmode +server.name SOMEWHERE +server.identity SOMEWHERE +server.port 28015 +rcon.port 28016 +rcon.password "changeme" +server.maxplayers 10 -load
no it wasn't there. there was only one server at that point called "somewhere" and the cfg folder was empty.
Rancid actually told me just to put the users.cfg file in there and manually enter the ownerid "64" "whatever reason" and i was able to assign a kit.

    Thanks a bunch rancid.

  9. Wolf? I have my own Server. Im also set as the Owner along with 2 friends of mine. Now one of them turned bad, cheating all the materials and destroying other players bases with limitless C4. I tried to remove him from the owner list, i dont want to bann him tho, but it didnt worked. I've read that the users.cfg file is not really used by the server itself. So how can i remove him as a owner?

The users.cfg file is always used. You can use the 'removeowner steamid' command to remove them though, followed by the 'server.writecfg' command.

  11. Thank you :)

  12. -load this can be removed from your bat file its no longer used

  13. Hi Wulf,
I have the same issue. As you appear to know what you are talking about I wondered if you could assist me in setting up my dedicated? I have purchased a server just for my friends and me to play on. I have installed Rust and Oxide. If I check oxide.version in the console I am told the latest version is installed and Rust is up to date. When I boot the server none of the plugins load and when I use setownerid nothing happens, if I server.writecfg I see activity but nothing is setting me up as admin. I cannot connect to the server via Rusty either. I am having a few issues and could do with a few pointers if you have time. Quickly thought I should just add that I created the users.cfg but this too doesn't seem to be loading.
