    1.1.3

  2. I'd use this if you could message all members of an oxide group simultaneously.

  3. I can add an admin command that sends mail to all users with the mail.use permission or everyone if not using permissions.

  4. That would be awesome!

  5. insane8472 updated Mail Manager with a new update entry:

    1.1.4

  6. Added, seems to be working great, will give you any feedback I think of, thanks!

  7. Let's every player has the mail.use permission but you want to jsut send an in-game email to the VIPs, Donators, Admins, etc.

Could you add a feature for use to truly do it by "group"

My 2nd wish would be the as a admin I could send a mail message to everyone in a certain clan. That would be cool.

My 3rd wish would be to get "\n" working in the mail message so we could display individual lines

My final wish ( Ready?!) Make this plugin a GUI style! :)

  8. I will begin work on adding those features. As for gui, it is planned for the future.

    1.1.5

  10. Thanks for this ! :)

  11. Your welcome.

  12. More to come
    • Your suggestions

    - can you add "Popup Notifications" for doing a popup like " you got mail!" xD ?`

  13. +1 YES let's do that ! :)

  14. Requests:
    • add global mail reset for admin
    • make multi-line message display on multiple chat lines. Big messages make the chat go blank.
    • add read mail in f1 console as an option.
    • add option for players to set the mail waiting message timer (though Admin emails would override this)
    • add option for Admins to send mail to themself
    • add mail preview option!!
Having mail display in a GUI could allow use to insert more text, have multi-line messages display better, button! and even images from URLs (with static placeholders)

  15. I can add all but:

The waiting timer. This would require a timer for each player instead of just one timer. Not ideal.
GUI: No one, including myself, has gotten gui to work with lua, if its even possible. This would require a rewrite in C, which I don't have alot of experience with right now.

Why would you want to send mail to yourself?
Explain the preview a little more.

  16. Yes you're right, I didn't think about that. Ok, what about a toggle of the notification for each player that resets on player connect.

Good project to learn on, just push as a separate resource. Or enlist a tester like me! :)

Mail to myself could be a note/reminder but mostly for a "preview"

I usually send "Admin Updates" mail to all players. But the mail is long and since the chat get messed up sending big messages I break up the message into multiple mails. Looking at styling and such before send to the masses would be nice.

    Oh! Another request:
    • add option to forward a message from one player to another player. ( I really like chain letters LOL )
But really this could be useful for clans/friends to ask opinion questions and get feedback, each forward cares the original message and the response. (question and answer). How to display a message that would grow to be pretty big - well that'll be interesting. :)

  17. I can add a toggle to turn the message waiting messages on or off for each player.

As for the preview, fixing it so it doesn't break chat and printing to the console, this wouldn't be needed anymore, I think?

I can add a forward option, but including all past responses would limit it to the console only. Not something i'd like to do.

  18. No. I'd still want to check the message formatting BEFORE I sent it. But as an easy way, just allow admins to mail themselves. Then I'll just send it to myself and look over the formatting before I send it globally.

BTW since you'll be updating the overview, change the sendall to global. ( I probably didn't need to to tell you that... )

    Can you explain the "groups"
    Code:
    /mail <group | clan> <group_name | clan_name>
I understand the clan but is the group a permission group?
