Yeah if you want a version that actually works, just use v2.0.93, I myself dislike waiting for a broken plugin to be fixed when a previous version works just fine in the meantime.

One has nothing to do with the other, it's press M for lustymap, press G for paper map.

so what? it also is based on your map being generated . and since people have put in requst for weeks and still puting it together and this plugin requires it..kinda pointless to keep or install a plugin that you actually need to wait on someone to add it just saying. 2 weeks in maps still waiting without the map this plugin has a memory leak that effects the client. so if you cant get it you're players will get their game crashing every 2-3 hours if they even open the big map.

its been reported multiple times.

The old lusty would do a ton more processing then the new one. For example for every map refresh (multiplied by the amount of players with it open) it would do the following;

Check for event players

I will paste the code used to generate the minimap/complex map below for both the old and new versions so you can see the difference.

The new lusty however pre-generates all the UI panels with all the static markers built in, and caches all the information above globally so it is not recalculated every refresh for each individual player.
The players friends/clans lists are collected once and changed when the respective plugins list has changed, not every single map refresh for each player like before.
It doesn't call out to other plugins to gather information non-stop like the old version as implied above
Every marker that changes position is monitored on a global level
For every map refresh with the new lusty does the following;

Collect the map panel or segment the player is in (calculation is only done if a change is detected)
Gather positions from cached information for all/nearby markers that need to be added
Add the markers to the existing UI panel
Send it to the client.

When bench marking generation times per tick between the old version and my rewrite the new version was around 40% the time it took the old version to generate 1 tick

People seem to think that the beancan integration is the cause of many issues when it is not. The beancan integration is merely a way to automatically download map images and that is all. It is performed 1 time when a map wipe has been detected. It is not the cause of your issues.
If the beancan option is not favourable it can be disabled by setting a custom image, which when done makes the plugin act exactly how the old one worked in regards to the map image

Maps that are stretched or do not line up is not the plugin, it is the image you are using. The map and all its markers are mathematically placed

Half the issues with black maps or what ever is not due to the plugin but to changes to the way Rust manages UI images being sent to the client

Claims of the plugin causing memory leaks is wrong. It is to do with Rusts UI, you can generate any kind of UI and have it refresh every second and watch the memory usage rise

The whole concept of an ingame map plugin is good in theory, but practical usage of such a plugin with the way that plugins work is always going to be doomed. Look at any other game with a map, they all have the client generate their own maps, not having the server do all the work, and that is where the issue lies. A server should never have to do that work. You can't expect to do mass processing with out bogging down, and the more players that are using it the more work the server needs to do.

At the end of the day there will never be a better map plugin. The newer versions of LustyMap is as optimised as a plugin like that can be with every possibility of improving performance taken. I regret ever touching that plugin, I thought I would help the community by improving a plugin that everyone complained about and all that happened was I inherited a complete shit storm that diminished nearly all of my motivation to continue developing. I will happily hand over the reigns for it to anyone dumb enough (like I was) to take it on

When someone asks a general question in a forum to a developer, if you cannot help initially, then I wouldn't be snide about it, just let the plugin dev answer. I've already commented on ImageLibrary, turns out it truly is the source of breaking a few of these plugins.

My map is not generating, it did so quickly 2 weeks ago when my server was brand new. I have read that without a proper server name and description your map will not be approved and therefore not generated. My hostname and description are both good. I have also added my server. Is anyone here with beancan.io and able to approve me? My playerbase is already complaining that the map is not working.

That's my problem. I get disconnected every time from the LustyMap plugin with the message "Discoonected: RPC Error in CL_ReceiveFilePng". After removing and reloading I always have the same problem. When is the removal of the ImageLibrary plugin? . The video explains the problem better. I have resetmap and reload the plugin without success. A solution would be cool

The plugin has timed out trying to find the map image to split! Complex map has been disabled.

I have completely fresh installed plugin, worked before just not right now. It will show the minimap zoomed out only. Anyone know why?
