Low server FPS

  1. @BaDg3R'

    100% ./. 4 Threads = ?
    Result: 25%

Looking at the RustDedicated process usage it's only using around 30%, which is like the 15-16% i get on a 8 thread cpu. So most likely it's only using one core.

  2. How come the server FPS is so low? saying that now after 3 days of wipe average of 100 players over this weekend i have 200k entitys

  3. Nope, no energy saving mode. Like I said, with the exact same setup everything was ok 1 week ago.

  4. Seeing this here too, but not in all the time, only if there's something i can't identify going on ingame. Some periods a 100 people server has 400fps and then it suddenly drops to 40, but then going back up to 400.

For my part i'm going to get an overclocked i7 4790k @ 4.8GHz and test it with some big servers, as i can see on various cpu - benchmarks the 4790k has the top single - threaded performance.

#But it's weird that there's nearly no feedback on low server fps on the official forums. Or Google.

  5. Let me know how that goes. ive got a server from OVH and ive been attacked 3 times in past 24 hours.. the DDOS protection aint all that good

  6. Thats true, nearly no feedback about it. And all the big servers with 2-300 players and big maps with the 8000 size also seem to run well.
We decided now that from the next wipe on we will wipe every 2-3 weeks, that will help for sure. But im still curious if theres not another way...
[DOUBLEPOST=1453733396,1453676113][/DOUBLEPOST]Do I need to restart the server if I set the FPS to -1?

  7. No you don't.

  8. Okay, so the big map is the cause then for the lags?
