Jail

use /spawns_new

 

jail works fine, but dident tested whit more than 1 player in jail.

And for al the people who got problems whit the setup. a basic guide.

First instal 3 plugins on your server,

1 -Zones Manager for Rust | Oxide
2 -Spawns Database for Rust | Oxide
3 -Jail for Rust | Oxide
4 -Kits option.

restart server.

go to your console and type the permis. ex oxide.grant user Bitterbals jail.admin

Make a building or jail whit ex. 4 cells in the middle.
open your chat ingame and do

1- /spawns_new
2- than you go stand in cell nr1 and do /spawns_add
3- than you go stand in cell nr2 and do /spawns_add
4- than you go stand in cell nr3 and do /spawns_add
5- than you go stand in cell nr4 and do /spawns_add
6- /spawns_save FILENAME (--- your choice of name ...
6- ex /spawns_save spawnjail

now go stand in the middle of your jail and do
/jail zone 15

next step is to check your zone id
/zone "in the middle of the jail"
and check your id its gonne be nummers or like this zoneid jail_0

final step enter this,
/jail add <JailName> <ZoneID> <Spawnfile>'

ex. /jail add newjail Jail_0 spawnjail

- You can now send players to jail using '/jail send <playername> <optional:Time> <optional;PrisonName>'.

ex /jail send bitterbal 3600 newjail ---) sent me for 1hour to jail and i can free myself whit /jail

love ur little tour guide.. but when ever you use /jail +++ it's looking to jail someone... so that's kinda irrelevant.. i tried all of ur steps <3 good try

It can't say that with any command since the function to check players is only called if you write /jail send or /jail free
If it says that then you are not typing their name right. You can use partial names.

TBH I didn't think it would be so challenging for everyone to use. If I get time tonight I will do a video tutorial

 

hahahhaa nooo noo noo.. it's fine. normally i would appreciate a video... but it's not you I think it's the Plugin.
I honestly Did Step by step... and i had another Admin Say the same thin when he tried to make this Jail Happen...

I Honnestly think that Command /Jail confronts 2-3 other commands... every time i type /jail free or /jail zone 15
it says no player found. i will try again. to see if it will work.. but i'm sure that /jail is a Command... So After you put more words to that it thinks your trying to send a person to jail as the person name will might come to send, free, zone, list, edit, ..... But it could just be me... I also got an error Code when i Successfully Send someone to jail.... but i used /Jail Leventier and it Accepted with a

(20:03:47) | [Oxide] 7:03 PM [Error] Failed to call hook 'cmdChatJail' on plugin 'Jail v2.0.91' (FormatException: Input string was not in the correct format)




I typed 3 times /jail zone 15 ... 2 times /jail send Leventier , 1 time /jail dfhsfh ....
when i enter a real player name which was actually found... it gives me that error code.

you are not using the latest version, you have v2.0.91. Latest is 3.0.something

 

.... i downloaded it from the... first game like normal thin... let me check i hope ur right. I will be happy to update it 100 times.

UPDATE: arrg... ur right how did i miss that. i sworn i updated it.. but it never got through the last Final. how crazy of me... what a waste of day today.. i will keep this day in mind.

 

ya it worked perfect for me last night but tonight I wiped and went to set it up and it all went fine until I get to the step to do this /jail add Jail_0 2112
every time it says jail zoneid is invalid but I've checked it over and over and the zone ID is Jail_0

 

zoneid should be 2nd argument, /jail add <name> <id> <spawn>, also make sure you delete your jail data when you wipe

But... Player can hurt Prisoners. Can i set that inmates take no damage?

I set "Inmates - Disable damage inside the Jail": true, already...

 

Just set PVPGodmode for the zone.

I just added 20 jails and couldn't get it to fail. Have you tried removing the zone with zonemanager and trying again?

I tried removing the zone and redoing it at least 5 times last night. I tried changing the zone id and then using that id, I tried anything and everything I could think of. I'll try it again right now

 

Do you have the latest zone manager? There are new functions in it that this plugin calls
