1. Hi quick question. I see that hurtworld servers now are working. I am unsure of how to update the oxide on my server as i am with a new host. I have ftp access can i just download the new Version 2.0.1671 and put those files right in my server files. Is there a specific way to do this. This was way easier on my old host

Download the latest Oxide zip > extract the zip > upload contents to your server root and overwrite.

  3. I shut the server down and unzipped those files where you said overwriting the old ones. I restarted the server but oxide still doesnt seem to be working

  4. Do we need csharp and .bat files in our server files if we are running through survivalservers, because neither of them were in my server folder until I downloaded oxide for hurtworld v20

The .bat file included with Oxide is just an example, as not all games we support include one by default. The CSharpCompiler is required for all .cs plugins.

Check your Hurtworld_Data/output_log.txt for errors, else your gamelog.txt.

  6. I dont have an output_log file but here is the contents of my Gamelog.txt

You don't have Oxide installed. Make sure you always install Oxide after any game updates.

Also, please use the 'Upload a File' button in the future.

  8. ok thanks for all your help wulf. I uploded those files as you said. I restarted the server but there is no spot on my web control panel to install oxide. it says its already installed. is there a way to manually reinstall oxide

You can manually upload via FTP if your host allows you full access, but often not all hosts allow all files to be uploaded. If your host provides a method via their control panel, you'd have to uninstall and then reinstall if using that method. When their control panel says "Installed", it just means that it was installed at one point.

  10. okay so i installed steam update. then i restarted the server no oxide. server shows up ok and can connect. I then update oxide using control panel and restart. Server shows as offline in servr browser. but i can connect using connect IP and plugins are working okay but server keeps showing up as offline in browser. ANy ideas?

Sounds like your host is providing an outdated Oxide build. I'd recommend contacting them to update it.

  12. One person was able to join in but me and other people are seeing the server as offline

i have ftp access and was able to upload the newest files into the folder you suggested but when i install using the control panel it must install there version which is outdated.

Anyone Using Survival Servers get there server up and running ok using oxide today. I dont think they have updated. looking for other users to chime in

  13. In your server control panel:
    select: Mod: oxide
select: Steam update: Yes, run update
click green button: Update settings and restart server
    wait.
when its done, stop your server.
download last oxide version. uncompress on your computer all the files. Upload all the files with ftp (you will have error about csharpcompiler.exe, it's ok)
    start your server.

It's how you can manually update oxide anytime you need

  14. Hi thanks i did exactly as you said and now the server shows as offline all the time. If i use Connect IP I can connect and some people are seeing it online and can join but 90% see it offline. Those that do join are able to use mods without problems

What is your server name, IP, and port?

Without Oxide being installed, we can't really resolve the issue. Oxide doesn't control the listing of the server, it is based on whatever Hurtworld version you have installed. The latest Oxide build is for the very latest Hurtworld release from today, and I've tested it to have no issues listing servers.

  18. It was a bug with v0.3.2.3. Seems to be fixed with v0.3.2.4

You'll need to use a real FTP client, not your browser, to upload files to it.
