After the upgrade, the server lags terribly. Ping server rose from 5 to 2000 and almost does not fall, the server settings did not change everything started after the next wipe.
Put different updates, versions below. nothing helped, tried and cleaned plug-ins, and reinstalled.
Sorry for my English, by the way on other servers for some reason everything is fine ...

High CPU usage, low fps, server lockup

After the update, my CPU usage has doubled.
-
Since the Update the convar aimanager.ai_dormant is set to false by default. This can be the cause for the CPU usage.
Set it back to true if you have performance issues.

The animals and npcs will start moving once a player is near them (aimanager.ai_to_player_distance_wakeup_range). That was the default behavior for months. You won't notice this unless you fly around with noclip activated.

If you are using a VPS for the server I would try setting the power savings to maximum performance or setting the RustDedicated.exe affinity to only one CPU core, I think something was messed up after the update.

Having the same issue, I had to set RustDedicated.exe to run on only one core to get any good performance. I was also able to set the minimum powerstate on the PC to 100% to fix the issue. I think there is a problem with the update from facepunch.

Do you have a bunch of old saved maps, like from previous wipes?
-
Setting aimanager.ai_dormant to true also fixed another post-update issue: animals were looking drunk and/or on drugs and rarely attacked, and now they are as active as ever.Last edited by a moderator: Apr 7, 2018 -
I understood the reason for the lags on my server. This is a new helicopter.
Tell the team how to completely disable them, and remove all garbage after them?
Because their loot does not disappear.

i write "+aimanager.ai_dormant true" in my rust_server.bat ... now startup with highter serverframes like 198 - 204
Rust has new AI (on Streetloot) and new Monuments (new Cavesystem) ... i think thats is the reason for lower frames .. i think i need now i7 cpuAttached Files:
