Solved GameConfig: Could not resolve host / timed out

    my server doesnt work

    i get this error : GameConfig: couldn't connect to host

    also i cannot login steamcmd login anonymous ?

    Hi!
    I'm getting this error many times:

    GameConfig: Could not resolve host: gameapi.facepunchstudios.com; No data record of requested type

    What's this? I never had this before!

    You probably have a plugin that needs an API ? and you didnt set it ?

    All my API's are set and till this morning everything was working (till i saw that error)!
    Now all is working (no more that error) and i do nothing, just it disappered!

    That URL is Rust's API for blacklists, etc.

    I have an API (VACKicker), but now the plugin doesent work (no errors)! people , VAC Bans, can now join my server! Why?! I verified my API Key and is ok!

    try removing its config the reloading the plugin and configure it.. if you need more help post in the plugin's thread please.

    Get the same error but still don't know how to fix it..

    The title explains the issue when running my server. It says that after initializing.

    can someone help me pls with this problem ?
    Since the steamupdate yesterday i got this error in my console :(
    "GameConfig: Failed to connect to api.facepunch.com port 80: Timed out"

    It doesn't really anything anything to do with the update, it just means that your server is having an issue connecting to the URL. It will resolve itself, just give it time.

    thanks wulf ;) but i have really really hard lags and freezes since yesterday... :( that Error couldn´t be the reason for that right ?

    FYI

    Few hours back, my console was spammed with this error:
    Code:
    GameConfig: 503 Service Unavailable
    It was spamming console each 1 minute, but now seems ok cause it doent show up again.
