Solved Door sharing

I'm surprised this doesn't exist yet, it was a very popular plugin in Legacy. Is there still interest in this? I might take time to do this...

Here is my breakdown of what I would like to see done.
Share Locks (Both on Doors and Chests and Lanterns, etc.)
Share Tool Cabinets (Grants them access to every Tool Cabinet they have access to) (Note: Could be troublesome if it does it for all tool cabinets, what about raided houses and such that might be reclaimed?)
A separate command to turn off FriendsAPI integration or not. (So they can run the normal commands to share, or just let the friends API handle it)

If you plan to do it, let me know. If not I'll pick it up and see what I can do tomorrow.

 

Well you seem like you started already so go for it hehe. Cupboard-wise I would limit to cupboards owned.. Pretty sure we can get who creates whatever entity, right? No point sharing cupboards you don't own, access or not, right?

Am I completely missing something? I see plenty of people on my server sharing huts with only one door... They have code locks or key locks and after opening it once they can open it again without the need of entering codes again. Whats the point of sharing a door when anyone can already share the door...?

 

The doorshare plugin in legacy made it so that when you share with your buddy (/share buddyname) ALL doors that you owned would be openable by the buddy, whatever the code is, without even having to enter it. It's a convenience thing more than anything... When you have a clan you just /share with all clan members and if you need to kick one out, you just /unshare and he instantly looses access to all doors.

There was another plugin similar to it that controlled whether or not you could use a sleeping bag based on base ownership. If you didn't have access you would be instakilled when you spawned. This was to prevent raiders from putting sleeping bags across your walls (a classic exploit back then) or use sleeping bags from inside your base to make multiple runs.

 

Well I'm pretty sure I figured out how to share a lock. Pretty sure I have the cupboard thing down too, just gotta finish polishing it. I'll try to get it up in the next 24 hours or so, depends on how it goes. It'll be kinda simple at first though!

Honestly I got bogged down with work. I can share doors pretty easily I think, but I'm unsure about tool cabinets and things. I'll try to revisit it soon.

 

I would like this plugin too and would be willing to pitch in $$ for the development priority
