  3. Is it just something wrong with my server or is this still a thing?

  4. Nope, same here.

  5. Good morning, my server is prooving to just be a huge headache. There are a bunch of plugins I want installed on my server but I can't keep any of them installed because they all make the chat fucked up. I have found a fix in only having deathnotes installed and having the messages limited to a 30m radius, but it is a bit annoying when you have a 200 slot server and can't even have the plugins you want installed on your server.. yes I do have the /clear chat that wolfe made, but that only works for a few seconds if you have anything that pumps shit into the chat bar. Does anyone know a permanent fix for this yet?.

  6. This bug needs to be fixed by Facepunch/Unity, nothing we can do here.

  7. No worries, i'll sit tight.

  8. Hey together,

maybe the one or other had the same problem and has an idea how to solve it.
Since a few days, I got problems with my chat. All lines exept the just written one appear empty in the chat-window.

I mean, usually when start to type, you can scroll up and see the previous chat, or for us admins for example if I want to see all attributes of an exisiting zone, I can scroll the text.
Now, there is only the Icon next to the chat being displayed but all the text is just empty.

Sometimes it works to "scroll" up and then, a millisecond long I can read what was there.
Actually I have no idea, it started a few days ago after an update and I really don't know what to do.

On the weekend I even wiped and reinstalled the whole server, still having the problem.
If it happens, I get a flood of errors in the console:
    Code:
Canvas element contains more than 65535 vertices. This is not supported
Anyone an idea how i can get rid of this error? Google had a few hits to that error but nothing that helped me :(

    Kind Regards
    7th

EDIT: Just found the "other" thread about what seems to be the same problem:
    http://oxidemod.org/threads/chat-disappearing-again.9785/

Anyways, in that thread people are saying, it happens when the client has to display too much text. For the example screenshot I took and attached here, I just logged in to the server and used the /zone_list command to "trigger" the bug.
I only have 2 zones at the moment, so too much text there shouldn't be the problem...
I also remember there was a ZoneManager update a few days ago, maybe there something changed?

  9. Yeah you need to read what was discussed up above. This is an issue in Rust, not Oxide, not plugins, none of it. The issue is 100% Rust. We can not solve it, reinstalling will not solve it. Nothing will solve it but Rust developers deciding they want to fix it. (That or Unity, whoevers fault it is)

As Wulf said about, this is a very dirty temporary fix until it's fixed by Rust devs. http://oxidemod.org/plugins/clear-chat.1183/

  10. Who has already tested in 1291 - lost a chat or not?

Oxide is not causing it, it will not matter what build you are on. It is still an issue though.

Garry made a change to the chat, so it may be fixed in the latest client update.

  13. I had the issue this morning after the update (still). I ended up removing any chat modifiers i was using. Seems to be working fine now.

There were two client updates today, the latest should fix it.
