Why is it that when i remove a group I still have permissions i set to that group??

Nvm , oxide still had that group and i had to do only "group remove [groupname]"

 

Can you add a console command to give players custom message color but not for group just for player is it possible?

You can just create a seperate group for that person with the same tag and make message a dif , colour

Yes check your groups.json file in data/betterchat folder open it with notepad++

go in the .json file and change the prefix and add permissions.
/chat group set player TitleColor <color> to change the player tag color. I believe you can remove someone who is offline, but I'm not sure. For the admins, give them authlevel 1, and the owner 0. That should fix it.

 

i got it installed an everything
but when i go in-game an type Hi it says [Player][Clan-name]Ginger
how do i fix so its does not say player, so its says newbie or something

 

Add yourself to some group . For example admin. settings so you don't react.

i have the same problem here. I created Groups formyself and configured all fine. But if anyone is joining the Server they are in a "Default" Group -> [Player] - i tried to delete, how i can switch the default group for newbies?

 

just edit the original group, as you need to, without removing it.

 

Thanks for your fast answer. There is just one problem: The Group "Player" is not in anyone File that i checked. Either in oxide groups and better chat. I tried to delete oxide and they created the groups, but player is still there.

in the configuration of the date , the settings there a group of players . And you need to join one of the groups , and it will be written in green that you are a player

 

Go into the .json file in Oxide/Data and where there is the player group, remove the tag completely, make sure to leave the quotes and the comma or you will get errors. This should remove the player tag but still allow the people who are/will be in it to sill have the same permissions.

 

Hi! I'm still running the older version of better chat, and I'm worried that if I update all of the current groups/permissions/players info will be reset. Is there a way to keep the already made groups/ranks of players from the old version if I update?

 

The permissions are in your oxide.groups.data file not in betterchat you would need to remake all groups that is it. If you scroll back a few pages you will see I have uploaded a groups file just download that and add/edit what you need so when you install the latest you will have all in place as you will need to fully delete the old files first

I haven't changed anything recently and the plugin seems to still work fine even with the warning, i saw your other answer to similar question on page 87/89 but i didn't quite understand what i need to do to get rid of these warnings!

I need help with BetterChat group like Owner, Admin, Moderator, VIP, VIP+, MVP, MVP+. iv been playing around with betterchat for about an hour or two trying to make these groups and the prefix of them and i just cant do it and I was just wondering if anyone could help me make it or make it for me.
