I remember seeing something about rank in it last time. I'll do this though - thank you very much.

 

Does anyone know how to get the update working with permissions so I only have to add someone to a group to get them in the betterchat group, I cant see a function to give the BetterChat Groups permissions

 

Add individual group permission, please!
As it was previously, example color_vip or premium.

Each BetterChat group is just a oxide group. BetterChat group 'owner' = 'owner' oxide group. Also permissions are still there. Just in the background. betterchat.group.<groupName>

Hmm... I can not get BetterChat group on command oxide.grant user SteamID "premium" (BetterChat "premium" group).

 

usergroup add <steamID> premium

thats by the way, the same as

chat user add <steamID> premium

 

I need to make it oxide.grant work.
By permission "premium" attached other plugins, but they will not be involved on your "usergroup add"...

 

grant user <steamID> betterchat.group.premium

 

But... Well I try to somehow adapt to it other plugins.

hiya laser. how do you remove the [Player] from regular players names? got all the others set up fine just struggling to get rid of and change name colours for regular players without putting them into a group.

Hydra, you absolutely have to be kidding me man. Is there no way to copy data from the old betterchat to the new one? You expect server admins to rewrite their whole player/group data? Version 3.5.6 used to work fine for me but now it's spamming my console about not being able to read banned words. So I can't use the older version and I can't use the newer version because (for some reason) you changed how it stores it's config/data. I have a load of players on my server and I simply cannot sit there typing in /chat group blah blah blah, I'd do it all by config before and just reload the plugin. PLEASE REVERT THE CHANGES YOU MADE! I CANNOT USE THIS PLUGIN ANYMORE!

 

it puts all title/player info in data/BetterChat folder in the Groups.json its not that hard to do I added the first group then edited the file to add the rest here is my file editit the way you want

 

Right, but I cannot copy/paste data from my old betterchat config, I've tried and it doesn't work. Chat is just a dark green colour and people still have the "[Player]" rank instead of the ranks I setup. (Player+, Helper, VIP, Mod, Admin).

Player+ players also have the player tag... I can't figure out how to remove [Player] from [Player+] players. Anyone can offer help? Thank you again Resistance.

 

If player titles are messed up its either betterchat needs fixed or oxide.groups.data file needs correct betterchat permissions added to the correct groups

 

Right, I've got most things setup the way I want, Apart from Notifications being deleted (WHY?!) and our Player+ players having the Player tag too... Thank you ever so much Resistance <3

 

i cant use /muteall but i can mute individual players, anybody else have this problem?
