You need to make more than one group in the data/betterchat/groups.json file

Do you only have the one group in that file?

Here is a quick one I made for you make sure you are in the admin group found in the oxide.group.data file it will add you to the admin group in this file.

Once you upload this file to the data/betterchat folder restart the server

 

Here you go, as you see there are no prefixes.

you did not understand me. without plug-in chat the color of the blue players. If you write in the chat, your nickname will be displayed in green. so no way to do this?

As I am not sure if you have the correct groups in your oxide.groups file its best to restart if you need help over skype with this pm me your skype info

I've been using the webrcon put out by facepunch for a bit and it gives me all I need to manage my murderous thugs when I can't be in game. I loaded Betterchat, and player text stopped showing up in chat. It shows in the console just fine. The only thing that does show is the server messages type. The only thing I could find was a regex string from the tool Rusty: RustAdmin RCON Tool | Page 74 | Oxide

Has anyone else run into this, or better yet found a workaround?

 

Can anyone tell me the hex code for the DEFAULT Rust chat color for regular players please?

Thats not what he is looking for

 

Basically, I am using Better Chat so that anything an admin types shows up exactly like a standard player.

The hex code is what he asked for, and added make admin look like a player later. Personally, I'd just use the admin toggle plugin. The hex code for players is 55aaff, for admins aaff55, and developers is ffaa55.

I made all the players look like an admin on my server, since it was right in the default config. Makes everyone extra suspicious.
