Does anyone know how to fix very big lag chat on Hurtworld.
It helps to write for example: /home /tpr or anything after the slash.

 

Laser i have a big problem with the plugin.
I'm still doing research to understand, but since today (never happened before)
the plugin freezes the server.
Like i have a solid 200fps, when i load the plugin the server freezes until i can unload it or restart it without betterchat.
I have no idea why, maybe a corrupted data? infinite loop?
Still looking into it, but i'm sure it's this plugin causing it as i tested it specifically with only this plugin on the server.
[DOUBLEPOST=1470071241][/DOUBLEPOST]resetted the data and now everything is fine.

 

Make sure you are using the latest version. We had that fixed quite some updates ago.

I know this is gonna sound dumb?!?! But once a [player] creates a [Group], how does the members of the [Group] chat so that only they can view their chat, and how do they switch between Global and Group chat?

 

There is only global chat. For chat rooms, you can use the Chat Rooms plugin.

Would there be a solution to prevent people from giving themselves custom colors by putting a color code in their steam name?

 

Hmm, removing someone from admin group in chat is linked to admin group in oxide permissions. When I remove myself from there (to hide myself being admin), it also removes me from the admin group in oxide. When I put myself back in admin group of oxide, it also puts me back in admin group in betterchat.
Can we get an option to disable this link between both groups please?

 

BetterChat relies on that, sorry. You'd need to customize the admin group for your wills.

Aw too bad, well for now I've just removed the admin group from my chat groups. Wanted to switch easy between being admin in chat and being normal, but guess that's impossible

 

You can just rename your BetterChat admin group.

 

Ah so when I name it "Admin" it automatically links to the oxide admin usergroup? Does that apply to anything containing "Admin" or just the word itself?

 

Rename the Text not the Groupname
"Text": "[Admin]", <------ this part
or if you dont want the title to show
"Hidden": true,

 

The casing change will propably not matter. Maybe name it "administrator".

 

Can anyone explain to me how i can add myself as admin to the betterchat plugin i am clue less what to exactly write and where to add myself as admin to the plugin in order to edit anyting.. it keeps saying ''missing permission 'betterchat.admin' to run command 'chat' I use the rusty tool and tried all i can but it says ''invalid command''

i am logged in as admin to my own server already

also i am very new to running a server and any tutorial video is in russian so i am clue less

You need to grant the admin group the permission
oxide.grant group admin betterchat.admin
