Solved Admin commands not working (rejoin needed)

    hello i got everything working now i can't do any oxide plugin commands i have granted myself the admin group i granted my self ownership with that other command still says you can't use that command when i try to do the dropdirect "username" command im at my wits end i just want things to freaking work (sigh)

    The "grant" command and other permission commands require you to be an owner in Rust, which you can see how to do here: Admin and moderators in Rust | Oxide. You can also use the commands via RCON or the server console directly if you have access to it.

    ok well i am the owner of this server. i have granted myself that using the rcon tool and i added myself into w/e admin group was already there. it still says the same message. is there a permission i need to grant to the group in order to use said command? or is there a grant permissions command that grants admins permissions? like all of them or something like that?

    What command are you trying to use exactly? Most plugin commands use Oxide's permissions system, so you'd need to grant the appropriate permission to your user or group. There is no such thing as "admin" permissions outside of what Rust offers if you are owner/moderator, only what you grant.

    well for some reason it works now i dunno i left the server an came back and now i can use the oxide plugin commands like for the fancy drop plugin so all's well now thanks for your quick reply's i appreciate that thanks again.

    The reason it works is because Rust's owner/moderator system requires you to logout and back in once if you were already on the server.
