  8. Hi,

I have the same issue. I ran the steam update on my server and then updated oxide, but now I'm getting the error described above. When I update the game, as asked in the error (server update required), I can connect to the game, but the plugins are not working, and the command oxide.version does not work.

    Any idea ?

Oxide is not installed if the oxide.version command doesn't work, so you'd need to re-install Oxide. If you have a connection protocol error, then you're somehow installing an old build of Oxide.

  10. I'm using a server at roxservers.com, and there is a feature to install oxide in one click. I can select :
    - oxide for Rust Experimental
    - [Oxide] Rust:IO 2.14.0

which one should I chose ?

Oxide is the mod, Rust:IO is an extension for Oxide; so you'd use the first. If you are still outdated after installing it, you'd need to contact your host as they would be supplying an old build.

  12. Rust Experimental and Rust:IO are not the same thing so you need to install both Rust:IO is for the live map Rust Experimental is this Release build changelog

  13. Ok thanks for the details. Isn't there a way to install oxide manually ? The hosting platform is not updating Oxide on their side, and they currently have some technical issues on their website

If your host provides full FTP access yes, otherwise no.
