Solved Wrong Connection Protocol: Server update required (outdated)

    Looks like i have the same problem. Just installed the Oxide and can't connect from local network. After an attempt client returns "Wrong Connection Protocol: Server update required". And recently there was an update of rust client. Few minutes or hours ago.

    You are using an old build of Oxide, else you didn't update Rust's Assembly-CSharp.dll.

    Downloaded 1341 few minutes ago. I don't see anything newer or miss something about updates. Sorry if so. Also, recently there was an update of rust client. Few minutes or hours ago. I edited it into previous post but probably after you've read it.

    Oxide build 1341 is for the update that came out today, so if you still get that message, it's likely the Rust DLL was not updated when extracting the zip.

    Yep, initiated steam update after Oxide install.

    Oxide needs to be installed after, but the only reason you'd have that error is you are using an outdated Rust Assembly-CSharp.dll.
