Wipes mandatory?

    Hello guies

    Can someone explain me whou the whipe things works ?

    I have a server but i don't know if i have to wipe it compleatly or can i just whipe the map, or just when i have the updates and stuff.

    In my opinion i'd like to whipe it just when rust demands it, other wise i don't want to whipe server
    from month to month... But whou do i know if it's time to whipe it or not ??

    This maybe is a stupid question, sorry :|

    Generally with the first big Rust update of each month, Rust forces a map wipe due to protocol version change. This change is made so that they can develop new features that would otherwise cause issues if you didn't reset to a new map.

    Ok and whou did i know when it's time to uptade each month, i mean, is the update that we see in gameservers control pannel ?

    Updates server to latest version and disables Oxide. (Last Updated 2016-09-29 16:23:37) [UPDATE BUTTON] ?

    That would be how you update Rust. You can follow Rust on Twitter or one of the many other sites that announce updates, else check Steam. When Oxide is updated for it, we post it under the Release Changelog thread.
