I just started running a Rust server again and have always found wipes to be a pain. Reinstalling and patching is fine, but copying files is a pain. Is there an easier way to handle the process? Obviously there are admins out there having been wiping for years now so I assume someone has a more efficient way.
Is there a plugin?
A guide?
Anything?
What's the easiest method for a server wipe?

Why exactly are you copying files or wiping files at all? Any forced wipes happen automatically, but they are just the .sav files with Rust. All other Oxide-related files and such are never wiped unless you or your host manually removes them.
If you're wanting to start fresh with the map, just delete the .sav file. If you want to wipe plugin data, delete the oxide/data folder. If you want to wipe sign data and other images from plugins, delete the storage folder. -
So tomorrow, when there is a forced wipe, this would be the best way to handle it?
- delete the .sav file
- install the patch -
