What plugins to make a medieval server?

Hi.

Just a small question.

We would like to change a bit the gameplay in rust and offer to people the possibility to fight with mediaeval weapons only. ( swotd - crossbow - axes ... )

To allow that I suppose we will have to prevent all weapons from poping on the map, in the airdrop, and helicopter.

What plugins would we have to use to allow that project ?

A full medieval server is difficult, because you essentially need C4.

 

C4 will be autorised. It is only if we could delete all the guns and rockets ;-)

So with that plugin alone, we will be able to set the server as we would like right ?

 

I think so, yeah. Calytic is active and the plugin was updated recently, so I'll assume that it works.
If it doesn't, check the support thread.

 

We will make tests on private server before trying to implement it on our server.

I suppose it is possible on a 2 weeks wipe to use it for one week then allow people to use everything the second week.

when you mean wipe, you mean wipe bp ? or normally a map wipe, removing the plugin would work ?

I see it like this otherwise : I use it one week with the blocker and everything.
I remove it for the last week

Should work no ? Instead of blocking and deblocking... ?

 

Full wipe (BP,Items,Map - seed can be same) or you will still have disabled items even if you will return back Maybe its repaired maybe not I dont know, I dont use this plugin (used it only once like 3.4 months back, wanted also to test a medival age server, for 2 weeks we had it on, for the last week before global wipe we wanted to have 5x normal server, so we rebuild everything, but it didnt help, only an Full wipe helped us (full wipe = wipe BP, wipe map (no need to change seed!), wipe items ect...

 

Oki but still, if you use the plugin, block items, and then remove the plugin, the config file and data file ( if any ), then restart the server that should not create problems I think.

If despite the delete of the plugin it needs a bp and map wipe... would be strange. ;-)

 

Like I said, its long time ago and maybe the plugin is now working differently, dunno - I dont use it or watch the develop progress of this plugin

 

The plugin does work, all of the plugins @Calytic has released on Oxide work currently.

 

I guess you will maybe need some more things to block.

Some Armor / Clothing
I was thinking about this also but it was way too much work so I didn't try it ^^

 

You could get the component blocking done within an hour, config the plugins in a day, even with a custom color scheme, edit all the lang files, ect.
Just requires some dedication man, go for it.
