  1. Dear Reader,

My friend got VAC banned and now he can't join my Oxide server, how can I disable the steam auth so he can join my Oxide server?
I don't know if this is allowed .. if not just close this thread.

    Regards.

  2. He will have to wait 90 days before being able to join a rust server again.
VAC can't be deactivated unless you crack your server (and that is illegal yes)

  3. Don't cheat and you won't get VAC'd

  4. Prodig, I don't want those comments .. so stop going off-topic.
He did not cheat, he bought Rust and 10 minutes later he gets randomly VAC banned.

I believe there is a way to disable VAC on he server via a setting. Steam manages the bans though, so there isn't much that can be done. Most likely something was detected on his computer by Steam that it thought was a cheat.

  6. And uhm, how can I do that?

  7. The console command is server.secure

I've never tried changing it and you should seriously think before using it. I'm not sure if the usage would be +server.secure "false" in the startup command line or if you just have to do server.secure false in Rusty/game console.

    Good luck :)

  8. server.secure just deactivates EAC not VAC if i recall.

  9. Awh ... no way to disable VAC? I will pay 10$ for the person that can help me out ._.

  10. There is no server command that disables VAC. Don't know why when they did it in experimental. But I looked on rust wiki and nothing. Like Reneb said
That's all I can think of. So, Sorry Good luck too you both. (And if VAC finds ANY cheats on your computer for steam games. They ban you with out a second thought)
