Solved Updating server without wiping?

If i update via steam update will it wipe my server? if theres a process of me not being able to wipe my server what is it?

my console says: Manifest file differs (possibly out of date)

i know there was a 85mb update for rust.. so do i need to run a steam update but i don't want my map to be wiped.

I am getting that message as well but my server is wiped

 

I just map backup, updated via steam update, then updated oxide loader and it fixed it for me.. not getting the error anymore
