1. So I have my own personal Rust Dedicated Server for my friends and every time the game updates I have to update my server too. I have no way to update it unless I setup my server again. Is there anyway I can update the server without re installing it.

The update steps are the same as the install steps, a full re-install is never needed. Make sure you have "validate" added to your SteamCMD update script.

  3. Still Doesn't work :(

  5. Yes I am using that script command, but I keep getting the same "Wrong Connection Protocol". This is what I do:
    1. Put the steamcmd.exe in my server folder
    2.Run the script
    3. When it's done I run the server
    4. Wrong Connection Protocol Again.

That means either your client or server is outdated/newer. I'd recommend validating both again.

  7. wulf every link you post says thread dose not exist.... i've gotten no answers from you ever lol

Forced wipes with Rust are only once every month on the first Thursday, any other wipes would be done by you or your host, not Rust or Oxide.

For the other, generally nothing you can do about, see Solved - GameConfig: Could not resolve host | Oxide

Also, please do not bump threads that are old. This thread is over 1 year old. Instead, create a new topic with your issue.

  11. Thanks.

How to can i update my server?

You'd update it the same way you installed it. There are tutorials on how to install if you aren't familiar with it.

  13. hello again... it was long ago. im here because i have an issue with my rust server not starting. i did not change the batch file since 1 year ago, and it worked back then. but now it says:
TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'Flag' from assembly 'Assembly-CSharp, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
and i dont know what this is. could you help me?

I'm not sure what's using Flag, but when you see things like that it means you're using mismatched versions.

  15. hmm i got that working now, but my plugins wont load and my server doesnt use the oxide for some reason... even tho i installed it

If the oxide.version command says "command not found", then Oxide isn't installed. I'd make sure you are getting the latest version of Rust and Oxide.
