Updating my server with a slow host?

Hi guys

I rent server from gameservers 1 month and this is my first time server owner

My problem is when the game release any update always i cant join my server
Always i have to wait 8 hours - 5 hours after that i can join

All i want is how i can update my server to be the latest version of the game when an update occurs.

 

I'd actually recommend using Jetzt günstig PrePaid Server mieten - DeinServerHost as host. All you need to do is use the "Steam Update" there and it will update to the latest one and the server will get automatically restarted and you'll be up with the new stuff in no time.

 

My server wont start for the life of me after the update. keeps crashing with a log folder. Maybe unpacking the last oxide.hurtworld broke the files and now im not sure how to continue. any thougts? Running local.

 

Reinstall Oxide on your server? Or better yet, wait for the next update.

 

just use the steam update, not another update because oxide isn't updated yet.

 

Yeah was my bad. I ran old oxide over new update and it wouldnt stop crashing.

Made map and data backups. Deleted all. Steamcmd'd the server back . Copied backup. Running now.

What threw me off was console beeing and staying all black. So i assumed nothing was working. But i was able to connect just fine.

I am used to seeing data run in console window. Guess oxide is responsible for showing just that?
