1. I recently went to a new hosting company to host Rust Experimental and am having issues with the permissions.
See below for an example as this happens whenever I attempt to use an oxide command to gain permissions.

    oxide.grant user datadawg sil_url
Unable to load permission files! Permissions will not work until the error has been resolved.
=> Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: o. Path '', line 0, position 0.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

  2. go to your data folder with your ftp program download the oxide.users.json file and upload it here

  3. Thar she blows. Not much in it, just my steam ID, name, and designation.

You'll need to delete that file and let Oxide re-create it. You manually edited it and added text unrelated to what it is used for. Rust's commands and auth level stuff doesn't go in Oxide's permission files.

  5. Just did that Wulf, but when i use RCON and enter below it says I'm already an owner and thats after the file was deleted and server restarted.
    ownerid 76561198183665869 DataDawg
User 76561198183665869 is already an Owner
