Trouble with Rust server list

hi, basically i have just installed and loaded up rust and there is no servers at all.. tried resetting/reinstalling doing all these other things that i have seen in other threads and youtube but still no look, could someone please talk me through how to go about sorting this issue, thank you!

thank you for getting back to me, i don't actually have an anti virus on my computer(other than windows which i have disabled)i have turned everything off just to ensure its not that.. and yes i am logged into steam.. i'm not sure what other software it may be?

 

seems i have just wasted £20 on a game.. its a very common problem it seems but nothing i have tried seems to have worked, i am going to call it a night but hopefully some more people can get back to me!

Expleo, to rule out any issues with connection try a direct connect. F1 > Type connect followed by a server IP. You can get them from rust-servers.net.
