Toggling between admin and player?

Ive asked this before and still have not resolved this issue.
I even have a small plugin that makes me a player but the problem is even as a player im still an admin with all admin powers.

How are other admins getting around this issue because i have to get another player to test stuff for me and tbh it gets time consuming doing it that way.

Without removing my users.cfg file how can i switch between being an admin and then a normal player ???

 

F1 menu, global.god false

 

"removeowner steamid" in rcon and add it back with "ownerid steamid" and reconnect thats what i usually do

I set up a 2nd steam account and shared rust via family sharing (Steam Family Sharing) and use that as my admin account. Note: You can't play Rust on both accounts at the same time unless you purchase a 2nd copy.

 

suzzed it - seems it has to be done in rcon not by way of f1 console

 

my advice, if you're an admin, dont play.

 

As an admin i wont play and as a player i wont play on my own server
I want admin to player for test purposes only and to check permissions etc.

 

Get a sidekick to help, or get your players involved. I always loved getting involved in admin testing back when i was noob. Especially permissions.

 

yeah been doing that at times but nothing is easier than testing it yourself

 

Make a new account on steam and family share it if you cant do that if I get some time can help but will need to talk over discord or skype

 

^ Ive that aswell but having to fill in steam guard key etc every login is kinda shitty tbh
