Solved Steam auth timeout when connecting

    I could join my server all times before installing oxide, now when I have installed oxide everytime i try to join my server it says steamauth timeout. This is a picture from my client f1 console. Please help. It is not due to my plugins and it is not a clientside issue, it's oxide. [​IMG]

    Oxide doesn't touch the Steam authentication of your server. If your server is having connection issues to Steam, it's with it or Rust directly.

    I said it works completely before I install oxide, when I install oxide, it starts steamauth timeout

    I understand that, but as I said, Oxide doesn't control any of that. The only things I could suggest would be to see if the server is actually fully started, but otherwise Oxide has no influence on your server's Steam connection.

    Yes I fixed it, I waited 1 day. Lock if you can.

    You can see those still and not actually be logged in. For me this happens when I run SteamCMD to update a game that requires my login, I have to close Steam and login again else I'll get issues connecting to servers.

    Doesn't work. :| I could join my server after waiting the day then all times after the first try it didn't work...

    I've had similar steam authentication errors, mine were caused by the server not shutting down correctly. After closing, and the dos screen going, the rust exe file was still running as a task.
    Go to task manager, close the rust****.exe task, then relaunch the server.
    Hope this helps others.
    Sorry, I'm in bed and can't remember the whole name of the task file.

    RustDedicated.exe is the name of the server and process.
