Starter kit help

Discussion in 'Rust Discussion' started by ILSMKU, Jan 12, 2015.

  1. How on earth do you guys edit the starter kit? Or gather rate? I came from Magma, which IMO was much easier to deal with.

I have the resource manager plugin, but no clue how to make wood and rock gathering 5X the rate. Or how to make the starter kit.

    Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks!

I'd suggest taking a look at the Overview pages for the plugins you are trying to use, and if you have any questions with a particular one, just ask in that plugin's thread. There are numerous kit plugins, but I'd recommend the Advanced Kits one if you are on Rust Legacy. For Rust Experimental, you can use http://oxidemod.org/resources/kits.668/.

  3. Thanks. I Pm'd some of the plug in makers and no response. Oh well. Thanks anyhow. I'll just try veggemite since it seems to be like Magma which I know. Thanks anyhow Wulf.

PMing is generally not the way to get support. ;) It isn't really that hard to use, just pop the plugins in and you'll even have a default config file and starter kit and all that you can customize.

  5. I fully understand how to install the plugins. And I know exactly where the config files are. But once I open resource managers config file, its an OCEAN of code I do not understand at all. Trying to figure out what is what is like a needle in a haystack. Its impossible for a first timer. I see the examples some plugins list, but even those look like crazy code.

Its cool, but this is not the plugin for me. I dont want to rely on a forum for help running my server. Id rather just be able to edit things myself. Thanks for the suggestions, but I respectfully pass on this. Its not for me.

Now onto the Kits.json in the config directory listed above.
