Prior to the Building 3.0 update, I've ran my server with decay disabled (+decay.scale 0). I did this because my server is small (50 slots) and intended to be a geared towards the casual player. With the Building 3.0 update, I thought it might be interesting to introduce decay but at a slow rate so not to alienate the players that have been on the server for a while.
I updated my config file to +decay.scale 0.1 (10%) but, honestly, I can't tell if it made a difference. I've even set it to +decay.scale 0.01 (1%) and I'm still not sure if I see a difference. I've checked the decay rate in my TC and it didn't seem to change.
Is there a better way to change the decay rate? From what I've read (Rust console commands) the decay scale can be in increments of 0.01 (1%).
