Check your RustDedicated_Data/output_log.txt for errors and provide it here with "Upload a File" for us to take a look.

  3. Please help me find whats wrong with it. I can't figure it out.

It looks to me like your server isn't fully updated, and that you may be trying to install an old Oxide build.

  5. I don't understand. do I have to uninstall oxide and reinstall it?

Stop server > Run Steam update > Install Oxide > Start server.

  7. Like update for steam application?

  8. Stop server, then when you update steam, then open up SteamCMD type -login anonymous -force_install_dir C:/(your folder's location) make sure it's in the right location, then -app_update 258550, then copy paste new oxide into your server files.

  9. make sure what is in the right location?

  10. Basically, I like to do force_install_dir C:/rust
which is where I place my file to update it sometimes, although it may be uncessary.
You have to sometimes make sure your server file is in the right location otherwise the steamcmd may open up another server in a different location rather than updating yours, I'm not so sure about it, but I'm always the type of the guy that makes sure his server is updated properly without any errors.

Go to documents, and go to OS C:
then place your Rust server folder
    open up steamcmd
    do -login anonymous
    -force_install_dir C:/(your folder's name)
    -app_update 258550

-Then install oxide and start your server up.

  11. My rust server folder? It is in my steamcmd folder where steamapps is

Firstly, are you hosted locally, on a dedicated server, or a shared host? The above steps that Ankawi gave you are only for local or dedicated servers where you have full access.

  13. I host locally on my machine.

  14. Placing it is there is fine, but I took mine out and placed it on my desktop, but whenever I update, I post it in the C: because I know that's the correct location to update it in. You can simply do force_install_dir (your file location) or even try just app_update 258550 without the force_install_dir and it should be good.

  16. It says it is already up to date but it still won't work. Please help me fix it.

  17. If you updated your server already and it says that it is up to date, then you must update oxide, and start your server, then wait a bit for it to get completely started.

  18. so should I just install oxide again then move the files over?

Make sure you are using the "validate" option. You can also force it to check all files by deleting the "steamapps" folder in your server directory and running the update again.

I would double-check the server install first, then install the latest Oxide release.

  20. So i have to delete my server then? Thats what happens when you delete the steamapps folder in my server directory
