1. Hi people

I'm new to the rust server game and have a coup[le questions.

I have found this place really helpful.

First question, when i update the server for a game update, does it wipe the server ? If so how do i stop that happening.

How do i update oxide ?

I joined a server a while back and once in the server a welcome screen came up with the servers logo and a menu which you can click to see information on how to do some things, such as teleport, kits and so forth, i cant find it for the life of me, does anyone know of such a thing ?

Also i cant save any settings, when i restart the server, all settings are lost.
Tried server.writecfg but it didnt seem to work

Also i have now updated and no plugins work anymore.

    Thanks

The map only gets wiped if you, your host, or Rust forces a wipe (these generally happen once per month.)

Updating Oxide is the same as installing it, so however you installed it, just do it again after any game updates.

There are a few plugins under the Plugins section that offer GUI when you join, Rules GUI, Server Help, and a few others probably.

The server.writecfg command is not for all settings, it's only for users and bans really. If you want to edit settings, add them to your start .bat or your server/identity/server.cfg file.

  3. to your first question, when you update windows, do you allso reinstal them? :) I suppose not ;) So no, update is not wipe - only if its big update like 1st wednesday in month. Secoond how to update - there is sticky post about it under here, and welcome screen is GUIHelp ;) AAnd to non-updated plugins - you need to read support threads of those plugins - fixes are like literaly all over the place

  4. I think nope, not sure, that must Wulf confirm, but you can watch the thread simply ;) and when ever youre here on oxide you will get notifycation ;)

There isn't, just the thread notifications.

  6. Btw @Wulf, does Oxide forum support Tapatalk app? :)

No, it doesn't have that plugin installed and it likely won't be.

Make a file named server.cfg and add it there.
