Solved Server updated required after installing Oxide (outdated build)

    Done the usual Update server then oxide, when i update the server and nothing else comes on fine second i install the oxide update i get the "wrong connection protocal server updated required" message.
    im hosting with gameservers & as most of you know it removes/disables oxide when you update

    Never had this problem before anyone got an idea why this is happening?

    It sounds like you're somehow getting an outdated version of Oxide. Any time you update your server, regardless of which host, you'll have to re-install a compatible build of Oxide as it is a mod. Using an old version would mean downgrading your server to an older Rust version.

    Yeah i have installed the most recent version and when i do it says i have to update the server

    Sorry, but you don't have the latest Oxide build if you are getting that message. I've double-checked that the latest build is current, and it is. The current Rust release build is 736.88 and the protocol is 1340. You can check this by using RCON and the 'version' command.

    Ah ok thanks for the help, ive submited a ticket to them
