1. Hello

First of all, thanks for such a wonderful community! I've been reading and learning alot of stuff from here lately.
Now, my issue is that I have some plugins installed on my server. When I logged in today, they we're all gone. I tried restarting the server, yet nothing happened. I ran the latest update of Oxide 2 on my server host admin panel, and now it says Server update required. When I then update steam from the admin panel, I can join the server but the plugins are still not loaded properly. I can see in the steamcmd they do load when updating to the latest oxide. What can solve this? Both being able to join the server AND have the plugins active.

    Thanks so much in advance!

Oxide is mod, it needs to be installed after any updates. I'm not sure where you're seeing the "server update required" message, but I don't know of anything from Rust that says that. It is possible your host is providing an old version of Oxide, but unlikely.

  5. okay, that sucks HARD. I will have to manually update it then I guess. I can find the recent version here, and just overwrite it, right?

Yup! Just extract, upload, and overwrite. Make sure the server is shutdown first.

It sounds like you are doing some sort of update whenever you start your server, which would uninstall Oxide.

Outdated plugins you'd need to update manually though.

You don't have Oxide installed. ;)

You most than likely have some sort of validation with your host that is undoing Oxide each time it starts.

That jumbled of errors at the bottom of the page is just an issue with your host's web console.

  10. Ok, so apparently when I update Oxide, the server doesn't load. When I update steam to fix it, it doesn't load plugins. I'm baffled. Since it's not hosted on private pc, but on a host site, what would the command be to upgrade oxide manually?

The only way you'd be able to update manually is if your host provides full FTP access, but that's something you'd need to check with them about. I would recommend talking to to make sure they are providing the correct build though anyways.

  12. I do have the entire ftp access along with even phpmyadmin. But ye, i think I will let it sit for tonight or eventually get rid of plugins. Too much of a hassle honestly.

Just take your time, you'll get the hang of it. It's pretty simple once you get a hang of the basics. :)
