1. Ok i'm freaking out. My server is suddenly wiped after a restart. I added a server description, restarted the server and now it's wiped. I did not touch the seed in the cpanel.

This sucks since I had a brand new server, worked really hard to set everything up and get some players, now after 1.5 days the server is wiped. People are pissed off and i've lost about half the playerbase I worked so hard for.

How did this happen? I havent touched the seed in the cpanel. All I did was add a server description.

    Please help! Thanks!

  2. talk to your host

  3. Some hoster have an option when you change something in the batch, you can save them as a new file for testing. Make sure you didn't make a new batch file. (if you did you should be able to switch back to your old batch file)

And the map file should still be there, just look at the map files name and change the seed back to the one the the map file says and it should be recovered.

  4. Thanks for the reply. I've talked to my host and they gave me a different way to set a description.

However: turning back an backup at this point would piss people even more off because they'll lose another 12 hours so i'll have to go with the current map.

But onne important thing: How to make sure this doesnt happen again? Can I now safely restart my server or would it wipe again because I set the description in the custom launch parameters? How about when I remove the custom launch parameters?

  5. write save in rcon before a restart or you can set it to auto save in your bat file every x minutes

  6. Same happened to my server and i have save.interval set to 120 and it somehow didn't save for like 3 days ?, how did that happen ? it rolled back to 120k entities weird. I do see the map files, https://i.imgur.com/XevQise.png Can i still recover it ?
