Hello Everyone,
I own and admin a Rust modded server called "Rusty Dayz" through gameservers.com and have received an EAC game ban for Rust. I have had the server about 3 months and have not violated the TOS so I appealed it. They quickly replied with this below;
We have reviewed your ban appeal request.
There is substantial proof that account 76561198019785750 violated Section 3, Part 5 of Rust Terms of Service: Cheating. The ban on this account will not be removed. The game's Terms of Service are available here:
Privacy
Cheating: create, use, make available and/or distribute cheats, exploits, automation software, robots, bots, mods, hacks, spiders, spyware, scripts, trainers, extraction tools, mining or other software that interact with or affect the Facepunch Services in any way (except as expressly permitted in the Fan Content and Modding Guidelines.
I have never violated anything listed there. I was not given the opportunity to provide any evidence of my innocence and was immediately denied. I have since sent a number of messages to them with screens of my gameserver profile page and plugin list with no responses. I have never been hacked, never used any cheats in any games, never viewed cheat websites, and suspect there was either an error in detection related to an admin plugin or a malicious player i banned in the past reporting me unjustly.
I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. What steps should I take to further dispute it? Is it being caused by one of the plugins I'm using on the server?
I'm an extremely active admin and cant log in to keep an eye on things and ensure people are following the rules. Please any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Server Owner/Admin Game Banned - Related to Plugins?

plugins are server side so unsure how they would get u a ban
I may be wrong but i has to be client side stuff that will get you a ban. -
Unfortunately they won't respond except what i posted. Plugins may be server side but they allow my client to do things that would be considered cheating for someone not an admin. The only thing i could think of outside of using noclip and vanish, is i spawned in the Chinook and when i crashed upside down I was auto kicked for flyhack violation. This occurred weeks before i was game banned and don't think its related but maybe.

I don't understand then what caused this. The only other thing I can think of is a few updates ago myself and a few normal players were getting EAC errors about mismatching folders when trying to join the server. We had to "check game files" to fix ir. If i remember correctly it was after that unexpected patch a few weeks ago. Looked back in discord and it was 07/20. Anyone else run into that?

Yeah man i don't know Wulf. I can only say I have never even attempted to cheat in any way. Maybe a malicious player, maybe that eac error, maybe the flyhack violation? Who knows. I had over 1000 hours in rust before the server. 3 months after getting the server I get banned. I dont have an alternate steam profile and feel that's immoral to do since I have banned people on my own server for using family share accounts to conceal VAC/Game bans. So I would be breaking my own server rules. I guess I'm moving on from Rust after 1400 hours. I'm going to cancel my gameserver account. Thanks for your help guys. Really appreciate the plugins and all the enjoyment I received from administering the server.

Ok, so after hours of reviewing all my server logs here are the only EAC's i could locate regarding myself. It occured on 07/08/2018.

Does this mean anything to anyone? I also received 3 EAC timeout errors prior to this. I don't quite understand it. This is what I received when i had to "check game files" to log back in. -

That means that the server thinks that the client modified that file, else it isn't up-to-date. -
Could a simple corrupt file cause that? Because i've never modified any map files.

Wulf. Thank you so much for your help. I'm really at a loss at this point since they will not respond to me. I guess I may be putting in too much time and effort in this but it sucks getting banned when you try so hard to build a server only to have it taken away from you for some unknown reason knowing myself I've never attempted to cheat.
Does anyone know of any forums that EAC actually reviews so i can post there? All the facepunch ones say you cannot post there for EAC related issues. EAC doesn't have a forum i can locate to dispute this. So I'm basically stuck with there initial refusal response and no further communication. -

Yeah i don't want that. While reviewing the logs, EAC definitely kicked a lot of valid cheaters. I saw all kinds of weird things in there.
