If you are having issues connecting, please provide your server startup script and what type of network setup you have.

  3. Wulf I can connect fine with client.connect localhost:28015
But I cant invite my friends to it and it doesn't appear on the list. The video shows exactly how I made the server. Have you got any ideas what I should do?

It'd be an issue with port forwarding on your router then most likely. Make sure you have your main server port (28015 is default) open for UDP traffic and forwarding to your local machine's LAN IP. Also make sure any firewalls are not blocking the game.

  5. o_O is there any way you could simplify that please wulf? I dont know many of those terms.

  7. So I give my router's ip adress to friends for client.connect? Also, when I do "invite to game" on my friends, it says "server not responding" when they try to connect via the invite.
[DOUBLEPOST=1485877989][/DOUBLEPOST]Do I need to pay for hosting or can it b public on the list for free?

  8. This all can be simply asnwered, if you would ask uncle google - he knows alot of stuff, and basicaly youre asking on so standart things that are not even close related to oxide or rust... To give you maybe a good start, here are 2 good pages that will help you manage your server.
    1, Google
2, SteamCMD - Valve Developer Community
second one is only related to steam games, but mostly based on your few posts arround I would stick with google and start there from the whole scratch ;)

  9. If its not working, then your firewall isn't letting traffic in and out. My router's tickbox for this is faded and it wont let me tick I :/

How do I update my oxide server?

Do you have a screenshot of it?

You'd update Oxide the same way you install it, by downloading Oxide, extracting it, and overwriting it over your server install.

  11. So I just re install oxide?

  12. Yes, but save before and shutdown your server. If you know how you could write a fully automatic startup script.

  13. Save example.bat or save run ds.bat?
