1. Hello everyone, thank you for reading this post. A solution or help would be very helpful.

My problem started right after the 11-3 update, I did a full wipe and created a new server identity. Then installed the new update, then installed oxide 2, then rust IO. At first plugins would not work. So I contacted the host (Gameserver.com) and they seemed to get the plugins working. So now the plugins are working but it seems that whenever I make a change to a config file and reload it the server crashes and does a restart. Oxide has no logged errors but under my server in the gs_crash.log I get this. (Attached file) So it seems that I have a memory leak somewhere. Can someone please help me get this fixed. The server doesn't crash unless i upload a plugin, reload a plugin. If I do something via f1 console it seems to be fine.

More than likely your memory limit is being hit from a plugin or Rust itself. Oxide alone will not go above 700mb in my tests with just me. To be clear, your server isn't actually crashing, it is just hitting your host's memory limit.

  3. @Wulf Thanks for the response, How can i find the cause? Any tips for troubleshooting? Unload everything then load one at a time? that's all i can think of. What my thought is, I have a plugin that is causing this memory leak. I just need to find it.

That's pretty much the best way. I'd start with the GUI plugins like LustyMap, InfoPanel, etc.

  5. Ok will do thanks Wulf.
[DOUBLEPOST=1478547711][/DOUBLEPOST]@Wulf BTW do you know the best way to actively see the server memory usage? The host does not provide a way that i have seen.

There's a plugin called System Information that should work.

  7. @Wulf Ok I removed all my plugins and all the configs and data. I let the server restart and I logged in. Went to go hit a tree and it restarted. You think it might be oxide is outdated, maybe I didn't install it right? going to try that, if you have any more idea that would be nice.

    Check your logs for errors.

This is the only error im getting its in the gs_crash.log
[11/07/16 20:04:44] [45_32_227_185_28036_ruste] Server has exceeded maximum RAM limit (4096 MB), killing
    [11/07/16 20:04:45] [45_32_227_185_28036_ruste] Server has crashed, restarting

Nothing is in the oxide error log.
[DOUBLEPOST=1478550086][/DOUBLEPOST]This is my memory usage with theses plugins and only one player online (Me).
    current plugins.PNG mem usage.PNG

From looking at the console it looks like I'm using 4.2 gigs out of the 3.91. This puts me over the available memory. Do you think its the host?
Should i try and reinstall the server completely.

    Thanks for your time.
