Solved Server header image not working (invalid image link)

I have been trolling the forums as usual for a fix with no success.

I have my server header.image linked from imgur on two servers, one of the headerimages is 4-5months old and works fine

However my new server with identical game files and just a different link is refusing to show the headerimage.

I have tried various things to test.

added to server.cfg - no succes
added to startup script +server.headerimage "link"
added via console
added via Rcon

image size is correct at 512x256 and tested both .jpg and .png
also tested on tinypic

Any ideas?

If i type server.headerimage in console it shows as the correct link.

 

which ImageUpload do you use? I had the same problem some time ago. I have solved the Problem by changing the ImageHoster!

Since i use imgur.com everything is fine

 

I was using imgur lol, sooooooooo after all of that once again i have a "lightbulb" moment from a passing comment i remember from an unrelated post...

I had a look at the imgur link, it seems that the link they give to copy is wrong... I had to right click and View image and use that link instead...

Im half amused and pissed at the same time lol.

But hey at least its a fix for someone else thats has a server.headerimage not showing correctly

 

YEEES, dont use the first link that are given to you... the link must looks like : server.headerimage "https://i.imgur.com/xxxxx.png"

--> if you have posted the picture go over it and klick on the arrow on the right side.
--> get share links
--> Use the MARKDOWN link and extract your link...

Example: Markdown (Reddit) [Imgur](https://i.imgur.com/xxxx.png)

----> https://i.imgur.com/xxxx.png <---

 

They used to have a box with 3 links to choose from. That was my lightbulb moment, i stared at my link and was like "wait thats not right..." lol
