Solved Server description keeps getting wiped (not saved properly)

Server description keeps getting wiped.

1) I open console
2) I write in server.description "My description here"
3) I then do server.writecfg
4) I then do server.readcfg

Then after a while it gets wiped again. I am renting a server with oxide so I don't have any other options to set it up, at least that I know of.

 

So how does that work with rented dedicated servers? I use survivalservers and there is no such thing where I can the description. I might be able to do it using "Custom Launch Parameters" but it's for advanced users only and i'm afraid i'll mess something up. I remember back in the day for another game you had to add something like "+set "server description" "blabla text here" or something but i'm not sure where to put the plus and quotes.

Lol it says the launch parameter is too long (over 255 characters)

Im sure i've seen server descriptions that are longer than that. How do they do it?
[DOUBLEPOST=1515860796][/DOUBLEPOST]Ok what the f*ck.. I made it less than 255, added it in custom launch parameters, restarted the server and now the server is wiped.

Like an actual new map. People are not gonna like this.... How did that happen? I havent touched the server seed.
[DOUBLEPOST=1515861164][/DOUBLEPOST]Does the custom launch parameter overrule the standard server settings such as server seed? Meaning everytime I restart the server it will make a new seed? Because I havent touched the seed settings in the Cpanel.

 

Ok already angry people are leaving that they've done a day work for nothing.

Please tell me why this happened and how so it doesnt happen again
