1. Hey guys,

As the title says our server has been crashing, seemingly at random intervals, since the update and wipe.
I've searched through our error logs, console, etc. The only discernable error was in regards to writing and reading:
    Writing:
    Code:
    Error occurred at 2018-01-15_212414.
    D:\PGSRust20x\Server\rustds\RustDedicated.exe, run by Administrator.
    25% memory in use.
32728 MB physical memory [24375 MB free].
37592 MB paging file [29626 MB free].
134217728 MB user address space [134212362 MB free].
Write to location 3c111068 caused an access violation.
    Reading:
    Code:
    Error occurred at 2018-01-15_134222.
    D:\PGSRust20x\Server\rustds\RustDedicated.exe, run by Administrator.
    28% memory in use.
32728 MB physical memory [23372 MB free].
37592 MB paging file [28569 MB free].
134217728 MB user address space [134211340 MB free].
Read from location 6f4e93de caused an access violation.

Saw some other threads about the constant crashing, hopefully, they're all related and this will shed some light on the issue. Googling the issue only found player specific issues. Appreciate any / all help!

  2. Sorry Fujikura, these are all forums to post my issue? I don't understand why you're always so quick to redirect elsewhere or otherwise delegate.
I didn't just mindlessly come here to post, I did my homework, checked my logs, checked google, only found suggestions to "reinstall audio drivers" and other steps that did not pertain to my issue.

Additionally, other server owners have posted here with similar issues within the last 24 hours, which fueled my decision to post here, hoping to help shed light on the issue as a whole and resolve the problem for everyone on the off chance that this is the result of the same issue.

With the above in mind and my mini-rant subsided, I will go ahead and submit reports to Facepunch directly. If anyone helps happens across this post and feels they have information that may help shed light on this issue, I would be sincerely grateful. Thanks :)

Edit: I went ahead and submitted a report to Facepunch. I'll update here if they respond with a solution in case others find themselves up the same river.

  3. That's the way...
Very simple: That's a clear dedicated server issue for the game-developer, namely called Facepunch.

It has nothing, absolute nothing to do to with OxideMod, or anything else what's handled on this site.

Such total unrelated posts do daily spam the forums.....I say it again: spam...total unrelated spam! Which needs to go to the game-developer!
They do block more than often the staff and also all the people which are freely here to support the plugins and/or those people who really need support for Oxide....and nothing else!

No one, who is a volunteer, being here to give helpful support, wants to scroll back daily through endless game-client, linux install or server-install problems!

  4. I understand your perspective and frustration. As I stated, I was unaware of the origin of the error, and as I saw other posts here with similar issues. We're arguing semantics at this point so all that I'll say is that I disagree that it isn't beneficial to have a thread opened that could properly distinguish this error and help other users who inevitably come here reporting the same. especially if Oxide ISN'T responsible. This could actually cut down on spam in my opinion. If you genuinely feel this is in no way beneficial to anyone then, by all means, lock up the thread.

Related, I received a reply from Facepunch

If for whatever reason the link does not work, it states that "read and write issues are usually related to ram." - I am doubtful as many other individuals are experiencing similar issues, will take it up with host and update here, unless thread is deemed spammy and locked ;)
