1. I am wondering if anyone may know why this happens.

I have my server setup, and works good for a couple days, but then it just stops working. And when I try to restart the server it gets hung up on startup. But if I go into my server folder, and delete the folder storage, then the server will reload fine.

    what causes this?

Check your RustDedicated_Data/output_log.txt for errors when it happens.

  3. I reinstalled rust server files, then reinstalled most recent oxide and mods, when I try to connect I am getting an error:
Steam Auth Timeout. I dont think there are any issues with steam network. I also updated my steam client and verified integrity.

That generally means you aren't connected to Steam on your client.

  5. I am connected to steam, I can see my servers listed in the steam server list even. I have had 2 other people test connecting, and they all get the same error, yet they can connect to other servers fine. I have attached my log files. in the output log you can see when I try to connect
    (13:28:54) | 75.159.65.64:56036/76561198019232465/tinboye has auth level 2

    (13:28:58) | 75.159.65.64:56036/76561198019232465/tinboye Rejecting connection - Steam Auth Timeout

everyone who tries to connect gets this error.

I have fully reinstalled the latest rust and oxide mod.

That's generally a client-side issue with players not being connected to Steam.

  7. thanks, i ended up having to delete the server, reinstall vanilla, run vanilla, then install oxide and then reinstall the mods, then it was ok
