RustDedicated.exe has encountered an error and must close.

Hello All!,

So I have recently got back into Rust again, again playing it quite alot recently I've decided i want to open up a server. However I'm currently having some issues.

I've downloaded steamdCMD and did all the usuals;

login anonymous
force_install_dir "c:\rust_server\"
app_update 258550
quit

However, once I double click on "RustDedicated.exe" an error message pops up saying:

RustDedicated.exe has encountered an error and must close.

I've been looking around for ages trying to find the fix, I've installed the latest version of Java, and that hasn't solved the issue.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue before? And if so, how would I fix this issue?

C Drive needs to be higher case

 

Would I have to reinstall it? For it to take effect?

 

I would start again but you could make a auto updater bat file

I just don't understand the issue. It worked fine last time i did it, I even followed the same guide. Now it seems to be fucked -_-
