1. Hello guys.

we have a server with round about 100 players with 2 - 3 plugins. StackSizeController, Nightlaterns and PlayerStats. The problem is, that the server is still lagging. I use an own root server with only rust on it:
    CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1246 v3 @ 3,50 GHz
    Ram: 32 GB DDR3
HDD: SSD. Rust self is on a Ram disc with 6 GB
    Network: 1 GBit
    Windows server 2008 r2 x64 latest updates

    Server settings:
    decay.scale 1
    ai.think 0
    ai.move 0
    min.spawnrate 0.1
    max.spawnrate 1
    fps.limit 500
    spawn.min_density 0.1
    spawn.max_density 1
    server.saveinterval 3600
    server.tickrate 30

    Serverstats:
    100 players / 118075 entities / 294 animals. Every night a restart

i set the rust server to higher prority and disabled core 0 for the server. But the server fps is ca 80 fps. Under 130 fps the server begins to lagging. For an test i disabled hyperthreading for the server but id doesnt help. I disabled all plugins. Doestent change the fps. The server hardware is not boring..... Only one rust server running..

  2. if it possible overclock E3-1246 v3 to 4.5ghz
[DOUBLEPOST=1482865301][/DOUBLEPOST]and set decay scale to 1.4

  3. That's fantastic hardware, you should have no issues with only 100 players. There's been other threads on this topic, here's one of my responses My server lag | Oxide hope it helps!

  4. i testing decay.scale now. But overclocking a root server is not the best idea....

  5. server.tickrate 30? default is 10 and its not like the tick in csgo for example. server.saveinterval 3600 set it on 300-600. And take a look on your windows power settings and turn it on high performance. Give rust 4 threads and put the priority on high rust server use only 2 cores. And maybe try to put the server on hdd/ssd maybe it can be a problem.

  6. Yes set server.tickrate to 10 and you should be good.
