1. every time I try to start my server i keep getting an error that prevents the server from starting fully.
ill put a ubuntu paste with the entire cmd window log for the server.
but this is the main issue

    Code:
SqliteException: Could not open database file: server/my_server_identity/sv.files.0.db
    StringPool.GetNumber - no number for string assets/prefabs/building core/pillar/pillar.prefab
    Loading Items Took: 10.1193128 seconds
    Building Items Took: 10.1383997 seconds / Items: 390 / Blueprints: 245
    Server Config Loaded
    Running server/default/cfg/bans.cfg
    Running server/default/cfg/users.cfg
fully error cmd log Ubuntu Pastebin

any and all help would be nice, i know there was a file called sv.files.0.db though it seems to be missing, and as far as i can tell it was used for a plugin i have called SignArtist though im not sure.

EDIT: I disabled signartist and it still presents the same output.

  2. You need to add this plugin
    Rust:IO Clans
Make sure you have the latest DynamicSigns
as the CleanUp plugin will send you the fix
The save file stop server and delete it then start so it makes a new one

  3. will this effect our bases and whatnot?

  4. Yes, you could delete the file while server is running then in rcon type save it will make a new one

  5. wish i can get the server to even start

ok so when i deleted the .sav file the server started up just fine, when i try to use the old .sav the server will not start.
gave the error i posted above, is there something wrong with the sav?

  6. You wont be able to use the file then its broken so do what i said above in post 2

  7. why would the save be broken, it worked and it was nice meh ill try whatever i can to get it to work try it with no plugins etc try adding them in if all else fails then ill try to load up the empty map then use copypaste plugin to paste my base.

    Eureka

I think i figured it out, i download 2 rust server managers and installed 2 versions of rust servers, copied the old sav to the new empty server and started it up, it created the sav.0.db whatever file that was missing and the map file copied 3 files back over to the old server and it works. no errors.

  8. I dont use that server manager program it causes to many problems

  9. rust server manager has been good for me ive had it used for about a year almost two now.

  10. Remember you cant just move .sav files over to another server without changing some stuff to your start settings. The seed, world size needs to be the same as the prev server. As for the sql errors it seems the path it's trying to create it in is invalid. If you're using the program I made (RSM) add a new server called ```my_server_identity```.

  11. actually this makes sence but my server identity is called default i never named it. ill try this and update my post with results.

EDIT: you can't use _'s in the identity name
EDIT: yes i made sure both RSM's had the same settings, seed, mapsize. it worked once but it wont work again XD

  12. rename the default folder to that name and restart RSM. Manually. I'll allows those characters in the next update of RSM.

  13. much thanks now to wait and see if it boots up.

  14. Out of curiosity, I saw you mention you're on ubuntu. Are you using RSM on ubuntu?

  15. nah i have a split OS i can dual boot in ubuntu or windows but the only paste site i know of it paste ubuntu windows is..... unknown to me.

EDIT: oh my lord it worked! thank you! changing the name worked and now the server is booting up. EDIT: without errors. only 1 warning.

  16. Enjoy.

  17. yeah the people who play on my server, they were complaining that my server was offline for so long. only while i was trying to find a way to fix it.
thank you for helping me make 50-60 people happier.

  18. Yeah sorry for any issues. This normally happens when moving servers. It's like the server remembers the old folder names but never updates or checks for the new one.
