Solved Rust in-game server banner

Discussion in 'Rust Discussion' started by AllHokage, Oct 7, 2015.

  1. Hello,

So I've seen countless servers with their own custom banner, when you click on their server in the list they have a banner above "join server". I was wondering how would I go by adding this in?

    Thanks :)

  2. In your server's server.cfg file add this line:
    Code:
    server.headerimage "http://i.imgur.com/vWjLUCX.jpg"
Then just change the URL for the image you want.

  3. Thanks, and would you know the pixel size for the image?

Oxide doesn't provide it, Rust does. If you do not see the file under server/identity/config, simple make one named server.cfg.

  6. theres nothing like that , im in my ftp i click server and it comes up cfg, oxide and save folders in cfg theres only users , serverauto and bans

You'd need to manually make the file then.

It has to be a specific size, I'd recommend checking the other threads about it.

You aren't using a valid image, you're trying to link a website. You need to use the DIRECT image URL, not the webpage it is on.

It needs to be an exact size; that image is not the right size. 512×256
